Vegan Jerky – The Best Brands & Resource List
Beef jerky is something that many of us grew up on. It’s salty, chewy, and just a great snack in general.
However, it’s not so great because animals had to die for it.
It’s 2018 and there are so many incredible vegan beef jerky brands that taste just as good as the real thing (if not better) and the best part is, no animals had to die!

Here are some of my favorite vegan beef jerky brands
Louisville Vegan Jerky
This is probably the most popular brand of vegan jerky out there.
It has lots of different flavors like smoked chipotle, smoky bbq, sriracha maple, and more. They use non-GMO soy to make their jerky and the best part is that it’s gluten-free! It’s perfectly chewy and delicious.
Lightlife Meatless Smart Jerky
This vegan jerky has a pretty mild flavor, so it’s good for those who don’t like super salty jerky.
It has a good texture, and the cool thing is that it’s only sweetened with fruit juice. They’re also high in protein, 1 serving has 9 grams.
Pan’s Vegetarian Mushroom Jerky
This company did something unique by making jerky out of mushrooms. They use the stems of mushrooms to get the perfect texture. Then they enhance it with the perfect combination of sweetness and saltiness.
They have unique flavors like applewood BBQ, zesty Thai, and more.
Primal Strips
This company has been around for quite a while, so if you’ve been a long-time vegan, you’ve probably heard of them.
They have lots of good flavors like hickory smoked, teriyaki, mesquite lime, and Texas bbq. They aren’t gluten-free because they’re made from seitan. They also contain soy.
Stonewall Jerquee
This jerky differs from all the other ones.
Instead of strips, it comes in little nuggets. They are very chewy and dry. Some of their flavors include Tandoori Chicken, pepperoni, and hot pastrami.
May Wah Vegan Jerky
This jerky is chewy, sticky, and a bit on the juicier side rather than dry. This is a very affordable jerky compared to most of the other ones on the market.
Sam’s Harvest Jerky
Many people say that this jerky has the most realistic taste and texture. This jerky is unique because it’s made out of soy curls, which I haven’t seen any other brands do.
Vegan Dream Jerky
This is a very small business and you might not find it in stores near you easily.
Their jerky is very thin and flat. It’s very chewy but super satisfying at the same time. This is a great road trip or hiking snack because of how compact it is.
Hung Yang Foods Curry Jerky Shreds
This is another affordable brand of vegan jerky.
They are very dry and made out of soy and wheat protein. They are salty and have an interesting flavor. Some people recommend that you put it in ramen.
Noble Jerky
This jerky is really high in protein.
There are 4 flavors to choose from including sweet BBQ, Chipotle, Teriyaki, and original. They use non-GMO soy and local maple syrup to sweeten their products.
Cocoburg
This vegan jerky is made out of coconut meat! It’s a pretty healthy option and it’s delicious.
They use foods like lime and ginger to flavor the coconut jerky.
MightyBee
This is another brand that makes jerky out of coconut, specifically young Thai coconuts.
If you are raw vegan, you’re in luck because it’s fully raw! You don’t see that with a lot of other companies. It’s also all organic.
The Herbivorous Butcher
This is a vegan butcher shop (yes, you heard that right)! They are based out of Minneapolis.
They make homemade vegan jerky that you can order online.
