Vegan French Toast

Awe just because you are vegan doesn’t mean we have to miss out on some popular breakfast items.

I know when I first went vegan I still craved french toast.  Though not for the egg but for the yummy maple syrup I could drizzle across the bread.

So in today’s recipe we are bringing back the french toast but this recipe is VEGAN.

Hooray for vegan french toast, right?

Vegan French Toast

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Soy Milk
  • 1/3 cup Firm Packed Tofu
  • 1-2 tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 tsp Cinnamon Powder
  • 6 slices Crusty Bread
  • Vegan Butter or Non Stick Cooking Spray

Instructions

  • Combine soy milk, tofu, sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon powder in a food processor. Pulse until completely smooth. Transfer mixture into a shallow bowl.
  • Dip slices of bread in the soy milk mixture, turning to coat evenly on both sides.
  • Lightly oil a skillet with vegan butter or non-stick cooking spray.
  • Toast bread slices for 2-3 minutes per side.
  • Serve with your choice of toppings.
