Have questions? Here is a Q&A list from Skinny Pop Popcorn’s site.

What makes SkinnyPop “skinny”?

We believe in snacking without compromise. To us, that means using the fewest, cleanest and simplest ingredients possible to bring you the best tasting popcorn. Whole grain popcorn, natural sunflower oil and the perfect amount of salt combine together to give you a delicious snack that you can feel great about eating everyday. – That’s the Skinny!

Are SkinnyPop products natural?

There are no artificial ingredients, flavors or preservatives in our products. We pride ourselves on providing you with a great tasting snack that’s free of all those things, including GMOs, MSG, dairy, peanuts, soy, tree nuts and gluten.

Do SkinnyPop products contain genetically modified ingredients?

No. SkinnyPop is non GMO. Although the majority of corn grown in the U.S. is genetically modified, the corn that is used to make popcorn is not. Our products have been verified as free from genetically-modified organisms by the Non-GMO Project.

Are SkinnyPop products organic?

No, our products do not qualify as organic, although they are free of GMOs and contain no artificial ingredients.

How do you measure a cup of popcorn for your calorie counts?

Our original popcorn has, on average, about 39 calories per cup. We use a standard household measuring cup, like the one you probably have at home, and scoop product from a fresh bag. Popcorn kernels are not uniform, so it is not an exact science, but one cup of fully formed popped kernels typically weighs between 6 to 8 grams.

Does SkinnyPop contain trans fats? What are “trans fats”?

Our products contain no trans fat. Trans fats are a type of unsaturated fat, made during the partial hydrogenation of vegetable oils. There have been studies linking the consumption of trans fats with heart disease. The FDA requires the amount of trans fat to be listed in nutrition labeling. Although our products do not contain any trans fat, they do contain other types of unsaturated and saturated fats.* Please see the Nutrition Facts panel on each product for more information.

Are your products gluten-free?

Yes. All popcorn is naturally gluten free. Our products have been certified as Gluten Free by the Gluten Free Certification Organization.  We are proud to say that SkinnyPop is gluten free.

Do your products contain nuts, soy and/or dairy?

No. All popcorn is free of these ingredients (unless they’re added as toppings). We are proud to say that SkinnyPop is manufactured in our allergen free production facility and is peanut free, tree nut free, soy free and dairy free.

Are your products kosher?

Yes, our products are certified as kosher by the Chicago Rabbinical Council.
